December 22, 2009, was the day when my fingers first touched the keypad. Being in class 9th, when we got a new laptop at home, opening word and starting to type was the best possible activity I could do. I had to pretend that I knew how to be tech-savvy, after all. That day, I saved my first document named, ‘Unimaginably True: The Book of Dreams.’

A story revolving around my personal experiences of peer pressure and school politics, I never knew how it became a zone of creating my identity. Since childhood, whenever I wanted to become a hero in a story, I would narrate it to someone. When teachers wouldn’t make me the monitor, I would come home and create a story around how I didn’t want to become a monitor. Perhaps, that was exactly what it took to write my first book, ‘Unimaginably True.’

It was on the dinner table that I dramatically told my parents,
“Hey guys, I have written a 60,000-word book.”

They were surprised and proud at the same moment. And their support made it possible for us to launch the first book on 17th July 2012.

The next book, came out on 17th July, 2014, named ‘First Love Lasts Forever’ and it was precisely this day that I realised I wanted to own a company. I was on stage, and my mind was staging ahead. However, it was the third release, ‘No Matter What I Do’ that paved way for me as a writer. The book was selected by Srishti Publishers, one of India’s leading publishing houses and made way into India’s bestselling charts.

It was here that I realised that no one else, but readers make writers. After this bestseller, came Imperfect Misfits and I Think I am in Love, both being widely accepted by the audience.
And throughout this journey, all I could understand was that if I can, you can too.

Therefore, we have started Write It Down, a creative writing workshop for aspiring writers who need guidance to publish their book! Join the workshop now and create your own journey!
